All about graphene

Graphene is the first 2D material fabricated on Earth. It consists of a two-dimensional, hexagonal lattice of carbon atoms.

Despite being one-atom thick, graphene is stable and surprisingly strong. The physics of graphene makes it an excellent conductor of electricity and heat, while being flexible, stretchable, and almost transparent (it only absorbs 2,3% of light).

Here you can find notes for hands-on avtivities on graphene for the classroom. They are centered around the solutions that this material offers for flexible touch screens. We'll focus on the functioning of a capacitive touch screen, and go from basic electric circuits to the programming of an interactive screen.

This activity is included in the GSMA Chair in Graphene at ICFO.
